My name is Captain John Seth, and I want to share a little about my passion for fishing!

My love for fishing came from vacationing on the Guadalupe River in the Texas Hill Country with my family at a very young age. I grew up fishing for largemouth, catfish, and various bream species. When his family moved to Brownwood, Texas, when I was 9 years old, a neighborhood friend and his dad invited me to fish the coveted white bass spawn on the pecan bayou, a tributary of Lake Brownwood. My love and passion for fishing expanded beyond catching fish to always taking someone out to enjoy the new fishing holes I had discovered. I joined the Army in 2007 and got very busy with deployments and military training while still making time to fish and take my Army buddies along. After being discharged in 2018, I pursued my lifelong dream of being a fishing guide!

Operating as a fully licensed and insured Fishing Guide, Seth is just as at home behind the wheel of his 271 Coastal Skiff and is able to take 10 people at a time. .

Although most of his 200+ days a year are spent prowling Lake Buchanan and the Colorado and Llano rivers of the Texas Hill Country, Seth's range of fishing experience spans from Matagorda to north Texas and countless fisheries in between.

I'm also very much into wildlife conservation. I am a hunting guide in south Texas with the team from the New School of Traditional Cookery hosted by Jesse Griffiths, the owner of the wild game restaurant in Austin, Texas called Dai Due.

My guarantee to anyone who gets on my boat is that I will do everything possible to ensure you have a safe, enjoyable, and successful experience on the water. We will fish a public body of water for wild fish under unpredictable weather conditions. I am passionate about fishing, and catching fish is a priority on every trip, but I am just as passionate about seeing people have a good time outdoors.
Every day, fishing is unique, and I look forward to trying to solve the riddle of the bite.
See you on the water!

Meet The Captain!
Target Species
The lakes and rivers in the Burnet and Llano County area contain a vast array of fish species. Below is more information on the species we primarily target.
Striped Bass
Striped Bass is one of the most sought-after fish in the country. They are known for their size and strength and can grow to an average of 20 pounds in Central Texas.
Gasper Goo
Hybrid Striped Bass
Hybrid striped bass are a cross between striped bass and white bass. These fish were developed as game fish, known to be the hardest-hitting and strongest fighters of the lake.
White Crappie
White Bass
White Bass is a very popular species of fish. These fish are often located in large schools. When a school of fish that feeds on shad is located, they can provide hours of excitement.
Blue Catfish
Gasper Goo (AKA Freshwater Drum) is in the same family as the saltwater redfish. These fish are a great fight and are commonly found in the 5-10 LB range.
White Crappie are known as one of the best-tasting fish in the lake. These fish commonly eat minnows and small jigs around brush piles.
Blue Catfish is the most popular predatory catfish. Unlike Channel Catfish, these fish prefer live bait and are known to exceed 40 LBS in our local lakes.
The Finest Fishing Experience
As your guide, I will provide you with everything you need to catch everything from the infamous Trophy Striper, Hybrid Stripers, White Bass, Catfish, Largemouth, and Gasper goo, as well as the occasional Crappie when we are fishing close to trees.
